If you are working three days and then needing 4 to rest up, you are doing too much and not healing properly.

I had a head injury last year and had many of the same issues, which from my research are related to a temporal lobe injury.

You should be resting and following the post-concussion protocol, which basically is to rest until symptoms relieve, then start adding in activity like an hour at a time....any return of symptoms puts you back a step....

It's been eight months, I still have speech delays, word-finding issues, I have to ask people to repeat things often because they sometimes will say something and I have forgotten it before they finish saying it.

It does get a bit better, it's been 8 months. It gets worse when I am stressed and tired or rushed.

I found that after pneumonia, asthma, a pulmonary embolism etc, that this recovery was the longest. It was 6 weeks before I could get in that water and swim more than 8 laps without being laid out for the next three days...I then had to go up no more than 4 laps more at a time. I use to swim 100 laps or 4k at a time.

Finally, ask to see a specialist as it seems like you have post-concussion syndrome.
