Our agency is having an employee appreciation day tomorrow. I'm going to have to drive an hour and a half each way to get there. Driving that long kills me and I already hurt. If they want to appreciate me, give me the day off with pay so I can rest!
I had major dental work done today. My mouth hurts like holy bejeebers and I'm on a mushy food diet for at least a week. I tried getting out of going to the picnic by telling my boss I won't be able to eat the food at the picnic. She told me to bring some applesauce to eat!  She reminded me that while management says attending these things is voluntary they pay careful attention to who shows up and who doesn't.
