I'm so sorry. I know what it's like to lose a job because of bipolar, even though that's not the reason they give when they let you go. Without knowing your individual circumstances, I think you could have a case against your former employer. You will want to contact the closest offices'of the Equal Employment Opportnity Commision in order to file a case, but be aware that these proceedings take a very long time to happen. You'll want an attorney who specializes in employment law (they often take cases on contingency).

One thing to think about is whether you'd want your old job back. Do you really want to work for someone who did what they did to you? Also be'prepared for a long, bruising fight, because you can bet they have an office full of lawyers who know their way around the Americans with Disabilities Act.

If you do file, make sure to do it soon, because there is a 180-day limit to when you can charge discrimination. Good luck to you.....you will need it.
