i imagine he will be upset. you dont make it clear that you want to end the marriage to have a girl friend or not. if you are unhappy with your husband and will be happier with a girl, then the best thing to do is to let him know that this is not what you want anymore and it is time to move on. there is no avoiding getting upset and hurting over this.
