Thank You to all who have sent pm's , emails , or thought of my Dad and I in any way shape or form.

I truely appreciate anything you've done to encourage , support or just plain old care about us during this very hard transition from nursing home back to home.
Sunday went fairly well till bedtime. I was on my own getting him to bed. And he fell. It took so much out of me getting him into bed. He cant help much because his left arm/ shoulder is extremely painful. He cant support himself when transitioning from wheelchair to chair/ bed / toilet at all. So his body weight is on me.
Monday we had a busy day getting PT, Visiting nurses , and Meals on Wheels set up. Plus all the caregiving that happens. He fell trying to get in the chair on his own while I went home to get my husband his supper.
Tuesday he had an accident. So I had to strip the bed. He also fell again that evening in which it was on the kitchen floor and I couldnt get him up myself. So I had to call the EMS to help. He used his lifeline this time when this happened. I was relieved and really praised him for using it. He talked them out of taking him to the hospital to be checked out. I dont mean to sound mean or anything but I had hoped that he did need to go. I dont feel he should be at home. He can barely stand up his legs feel like rubber to him. And I think he was counting on me to do all the work. I cant , and I wont. I'll help when I can but we need to find help. Simple as that.
Today went well except for another accident in bed. I had to rewash the bedding. So now he is wearing protection and we got liners under and above the sheets. Hopefully this will help . And most importantly. .. we found a lady who had an add in the paper. She has great references too. HOpefully after her interview tomorrow.. we will have a start on help. WHEW!!!!! I need some peace again .And I miss you guys and my other online and IRL friends.
Sooooooooo I guess you'll be seeing the BRAT around again lol.
Love you guys!!! Thanks again!!!
