Medicare will not pay for a group home. Medicare only pays for hospitalization (Part A) or outpatient (Part B). So the only financial help you can get for group homes or other facilities is unfortunately Medicaid. Medicare is apparently more interested in fixing the results of not having enough care than it is in prevention.
You can get home health services through Medicare for psych. It wouldn't help the social stuff much but it does give extra support and someone monitoring how you are doing. I think you have to be homebound though meaning you need extreme effort to leave home. I'm having trouble remembering if psych is different with that requirement or not and I can't remember. Not all home health agencies offer psych services but some do.
