so you want to understand why she did that to you
- is it possible that she doesn't even know why herself?

think of her age and activities - was she a person who was very much in control of herself?
I'm not excusing her/their behaviour, nor am I dismissing or minimizing it. Just trying to consider the reasons why she would do this? Is it possible that they've done this to others?
