You mean a psychiatrist psychotherapist or other medical doctor who is also a therapist? Sure, if I were looking for a therapist and felt a connection with a therapist who has a background in medicine, I would see that therapist as long as s/he doesn't try to prescribe any pills to me (I don't need any, well at least so far I haven't and I still don't). But MDs with psychotherapy training are rather rare in Romania. Most therapists here are psychologists, and even those who don't have a background in psychology still have to be licensed by the national college of psychologists.
