I journal more. I also kind of have sessions in my mind. Like I would envision me saying to my T how I felt that day and what bothered me and envision her giving a nice reaction back. I try to stay realistic in what she might say, so that if I do actually say it in session, I am not too far off. I am sorry you are having a bad time coping. yesyes, I do this too, talk to t in my head! this has worked for me several times.
Another thing I just remembered I did - when I took a break from t one time for a couple months - I created an email address for myself "innertherapist@xxx.xxx" and sent emails to it throughout the week of stuff I wanted to work on, and then at my weekly appt time, I kept my appt again with myself and read the emails and wrote in my journal about them.
