My psychiatrist is a proponent of the combination of therapy with meds. And its a good point about meds not being a solution. For some they do help. It's empowering I've found to address route causes of my stressors and navigate from the original response to feelings with relearning/retraining/redirecting my learned(through the years) responses with non medicinal alternatives. Of course, sometimes anxiety is what it is. Meds can help with therapy, reach that next level, where reactions become normalized and med free. Numerous anxiety meds can be dependency forming, hence the importance to minimize risk to the physical dependency.
