I was able to get rid of the boot except for uneven ground. I still have a fracture line. The Dr. was puzzled over that. I go back in a month.
I didn't get to take my shower. I fell yesterday and was afraid to get in the shower.  I'm going to try again today. I had a horribly painful night. This too, shall pass. It just has to pass.
Today I have to go out and see if I can push the pedals on the van. The Dr. told me to do it that way. I'm on my own now and I have to be somewhere tomorrow, so I'd better be able to drive and I'm wary - stubborn, but wary.
