No personal experience with an iud, of any kind. I do recall my mom had used one, after numerous years on the pill. She didn't complain of it. My obgyn has said that it's at times difficult to get newer iuds approved with insurance, when I consulted with him about mirena when that first was advertised.
Guess, rule of thumb with online reviews and comments is understanding the source of comments and look for any conflict of interest. Don't take reviews at face value.
