throw out 2 cups of medications that I'd had sitting around that were no longer safe to hold on to, throw razor blades into the sewar drain (great for public safety but I was desperate), dump pills down the toilet and then find out that they float and are hard to flush, dump pills down the sink, turn over an entire shoebox full of dangerous items to my therapist who kept them for 18 months?. I had to keep my meds locked in a box I could not break easily and my therapist had the key so every week I had to take the box to him, open it and get what I needed for the week, then lock it back up.
