One thing that could help is describing a bed and describing a pool table as if you were explaining them to an alien who has never heard of these things before. For instance, "A bed is a platform for sleeping on." If it has meaning to you, you could add "A place for cuddling or sex, a place that feels safe under the covers, etc." Add what feels meaningful to you, sticking closely to the phrasing "A Bed Is..."

Then do the same thing with a pool table. "A pool table is a platform used for playing a game with balls, for playing with friends, a place where skill is needed...." Whatever feels meaningful to you, again sticking with the phrasing "A Pool Table Is..."

What is this new friend like?

What has been your experience with the military?

What do you make of the blue baize? I don't know much about pool tables so I don't know if this is common or very unusual.

Thanks Mike.

The first word that comes to mind when phrasing "a bed is..." -is comfortable, I am an accomplished pool player, though not professional. I have played in local leagues in the past as well as winning trophies, I also am ranked in a virtual pool online game, about 16th in the world. So it's not difficult to understand how my subconscious, drew on such imagery, but it's meaning is another matter altogether. In the US the baize is most commonly blue, but here in the UK is most commonly green. And being around a pool table I do feel comfortable also.

My new friend is cute, very nice, but a bit secretive, which probably what has sewn some doubts.

I found 2 distinct interpretations of the above before landing it with you guys.

1 was forewarning me of betrayal, the other was for me to win this woman I must be more cooperative.

The pool balls represented friends, probably the online gaming community in which I chat.

The pool table according to Dreammoods suggested cooperation. The betrayal aspect only seemed to apply if the game was actually being played. Also, note that none of my friends have met this woman (not even I) so my close friends surely could not exhibit any kind of betrayal. Whether she herself would is a good question.

But following the cooperation to be successful theory sounds great, but it's never a good idea to interpret one's own dreams, as wishful thinking often pollutes objectivity.

Even though I'm new to this site, I've always found dream analysis intriguing.
