Hello, I'm new here and learning the ropes on how to post stuff. Quick background, I'm 34, BiPolar II with Panic and Depression. I've been on the same meds for over 12 years, Trileptal, Klonopin, Welbutrin, occasional Xanex. The last year or so I didn't feel my meds were working so well. So I saw a neurologist. She put me on Gabapentin about 3.5 weeks ago, I'm up to 900 mgs now and I am slowly trying to titrate off my klonopin and trileptal in hopes the Gabapentin takes their place. I was told to take G at night because it may make me sleepy, however it was starting to make me anxious at night so as of yesterday I took it slowly throughout the day and decided that's what I'll try. This morning had been great and I just told my mom, wow, is this what it's like to be happy? Or am I manic? Then out of nowhere a weird feeling hit. Not quite a panic attack but the same sort of symptoms, I immediately chewed a Xanex. But I digress. Just looking for some folks to talk to who have the same issues or know about Gabapentin. Basically looking for a support system because I don't really have one amongst my family. Plus, as you all know, they don't understand Thanks for reading my ramble, I hope to hear from someone
