I have the Mirena. It works wonders. No periods, except occasional random mild cramps and spotting. I got it to not have to worry about pills or pregnancy as well as to cure my abnormal painful cramps.

I had my mirena inserted in surgery so I could be knocked out while they did it because of my own fears. The scariest part was the pill I took to open up the uterus. I experienced the pain of contractions which was terrifying! But in the end it was worth it.
