Steiner of Thule, I found this out the same way you did. Someone I had on ignore posted to my visitor page. Freaked me out something fierce. I understand that it's the way the system works, but I still wish ignore meant completely blocking a person.
If I remember correctly, it's been awhile since it happened to me, you can ask a mod/admin to remove the message.
