Hi spilledpills, firstly welcome to PC!!!
And..........I'm sorry you're going through such a difficult time

And the meds not working.......well maybe they may (kind of??) under "ordinary" circumstances, but you're having A LOT thrown at you right now, aren't you??!!

And issues that may make someone who
doesn't suffer from anxiety, very anxious!!
So I'd
definitely say to have them reviewed to start with.
And with the eye condition.........do you think it would help doing a bit of research by checking in with people who have suffered with it or, the consequences of it??? Afterall there is a possibility that there will be many more ways of coping with it and the consequences than you're thinking. Anxiety can often have you focused in on the
very worst possible scenarios but.........
And naturally it might lead to more people supporting you.
The medical phobia.........some doctors can be very sensitive in these situations,
so hoping your doctors might be, could you explain that to them, or even write down some of those feelings for them?? Along with a bit of a plan you'd like them to help them with e.g. limited waiting times, being able to wait in a separate room or outside where someone will call you when it's time for your appointment, minimising "equipment" where they can, having someone else e.g. a nurse
or no-one else in the room for your appointment, getting to see the procedures/checks/what they'll be doing before they do those things, having the doctor talk through things step by step, no "white coats".............
And maybe you could have something in place for when they're carrying out anything more invasive e.g. a PRN medication, breathing techniques, even hypnosis?????
I am sorry your therapist seems so insensitive though,
especially when you're needing her help even
more!!! Maybe you want to show her your appointment cards/letters to
show that you've had appoinments to attend, maybe you want to tell her how her "attitude"/accusations are affecting you, maybe you need to get a new T???
But it's good that you've come to PC, there are a lot of really understanding and supportive people on here. So
again,
welcome!!!

Alison
