Is there any hobby or something else that you enjoy that you could use to take your mind off of it until the meds kick back in? Even though, I know that it can be hard to get involved in something when you are feeling anxious, as I have that trouble.
Another trick I use is deep breathing exercises which seem to alleviate my anxiety to some extent. Here's a link to get you started:
