My in-laws both graduated from LSU. They introduced me to Cajun boiled crawfish. I love those mudpuppies!
I live in Florida. Obviously, the state is known for it's citrus. I like the fruit just as it is. Farmers also grow strawberries. Fresh picked berries are great! I used to spend half a day picking in a u-pick field. Then I'd come home and make my own jam. yummmmmmm
I don't much care for it, but the state's also known for Key Lime pie. Little known fact - "real" Key Lime pie is yellow, not green. The green pies have food coloring added to give them the color.
