For those of you who wish to follow the hurricane a little closer... you can watch one of South Florida's TV stations streaming live video on the internet:
NBC channel 6 news
Click on news then look for the live video info line... they are broadcasting 24 hour weather and radar for Southern FL...
looks like it might just go a little north (more, more!) and maybe we won't get the eye rage.
Any one who wishes to try and locate someone after the storm, the salvation army has an agreement with the Amateur Radio Relay League Emergency Services (arrl.org) SATERN and you can fill in a form online for inquiry. [url=http://qso.com/satern/emailfrm.htm[\url] The SA uses the local amateur radio operators for contact of who's found, who's in shelters, hospitals or... no contact made.
It's really bad here already. And now it's getting dark.
This is just what Hurricane Andrew did... increased strength as it came across the "gulfstream" and though it came in south ... and this one is north... most of us moved north! Here we are.
