Interesting! I have experienced a lot of hair-loss over the past six months. I take 400 mg Lamictal.
I have thick hair, and it was long. So I recently cut it into a shorter length, and it has helped a lot. So I think the como of meds, long, thick hair was the reason for the hairloss.
I was also low on vit B12. Had my doc do bloodtests, and after that I got weekly injections for one month. Being low on vit can cause things like hair-loss as well. And my doc said that some meds cause the body to take up less diatery vitamins.
And I also started washing my hair "upside down" (Quite an interesting pose in the shower, lol...). My hairdresser recommended that. Or if you have a tub, wash it in there. She said the normal way we shampoo and dry our hair can make this problem a lot worse, rubbing too hard, combined with a strong flush of water, and rough toweldrying after. Wash gently, as little rubbing as possible, keep your head upside down and pat it dry. Pull as little as possible, and try to avoid ponytails, because they put a lot of strain on the hair also.
A lot of these meds cause weigth gain, and hey, we don't need to go bald also!
