You can do pretty much anything mindfully even chores! It's just about paying attention to what you are experiencing in the moment.
Things I do are taking a mindful shower and focusing on the feel of the water, smell of the soap etc. I also do a bit of colouring, read, do my nails, watch TV, cook, play computer games and many other things as mindfulness excercises.
There are tons of good ideas on the internet.
When your mind wanders (and it will) just gently bring your attention back to the moment. Try to practise a non judgemental stance, nothing is 'good' or 'bad' or 'stupid' just observe factually what is with acceptance.
It takes a lot of practise but I've found it extremely helpful especially for anxiety.
