On the temple of Delphi there is an inscription that translate to, "Nothing to Excess".

There is an ancient story about this of a man named Daedalus and his son Icarus. Stuck in the labyrinth, the genius who created it, Da3dlus, created two sets of wings made of wax. The father, Daedalus, told his son not to fly too close to the son or else your wings will melt and you'll fall and die in the sea. Also, not to fly too low either or you'll crash into he waves.

They take off but as Icarus looks at the sun he has the urge to fly upward towards the beautiful light high atop the clouds. As he does this his wings start to deform and melt the wax. There fall Icarus into the ocean, lost forever.

It's about control, about self control over passions, addictions and habits. It's about finding the middle course away from excesses to live a life of reason, but never forgetting your sweet passions in life.
Thanks for this!
