Kosilek, 58, was convicted of strangling his wife in 1990. He claimed he killed her in self-defense after she spilled boiling tea on his genitals.

He strangled her for burning his genitals that he didn't want in the first place?

I understand the transgender issue and the emotional torment it causes. Don't get me wrong, I am sensitive to Gender Identity Disorder.

I guess I'm hung up on the murder issue. Self-defense my a##.

I'm wondering if there's something to be gained from this. Like being sent to a woman's prison which might not be so "rough," or maybe he wants to plan an escape from the hospital.

He didn't get the death penalty, so maybe suffering as a woman trapped in a man's body is the ultimate punishment for killing his wife.
