I think the OP means handing in most meds but keeping enough for a week or so. Not enough to OD on.
OP, maybe you can ask your doctor for a prescription for 2 or 3 days and a whole lot of refills? That way you go to the pharmacy every couple of days to pick up new drugs and you never have a whole lot in the house.
