AnxiousGirl, I totally understand how difficult it is to share our thoughts and I would not advise doing that with family or friends, but a therapist is trying to help us out of a deep hole, like depression. If we fight it we can delay progress for years.

Why not start doing the exercise about why you don't want to do the exercise. That is a place to start. Questions like "What are the worst things that could happen" usually gets me going.
