Hey snowflake,
Hmmm, interesting that you should bring this up. I've never really thought too much about the breathing patterns and how it affects anxiety disorders but your post made me think about how I breathe when I go into panic attacks. What happens for me is I breathe really quickly, almost hyperventilating, and then I consciously try to slow it down. This is where I experience what you've described. When I try to slow down my breathing becomes incredibly shaky and I sometimes feel like throwing up. It's a bugger but it's only a symptom of the anxiety so concentrate more on getting rid of that and you won't give your difficulties in breathing a second thought coz it is only a result of your anxiety. Well, hope that helped, I'm not really in any position to give advice on anxiety, because it's something that I haven't been able to control in my life and recover from, but I reckon you'd get enough satisfaction from just knowing that there are others out there going through what you are going through. Be safe, have fun and hope to chat to you soon. Cheers.
