I'm wondering if there's something to be gained from this. Like being sent to a woman's prison which might not be so "rough," or maybe he wants to plan an escape from the hospital.

I was wondering about this too. It all seems a little fishy.

My step brother is actually going through this procedure. I don't have any problem with it at all, and I am very empathetic towards Gender Identity disorder. Still, If my step brother was in jail (especially if it was for murder) I wouldn't want tax payers footing the bill for this operation.

I don't know if he would go to a female jail or not. it seems like a hige liability either way. If he stayed in the male population he would be in danger from the other inmates. If he went to the female prison, he might be a danger to the other inmates. I mean, he did kill his wife.

Apparently they are spending so much money on this case because it is a test. If this guy gets his sex change then there are more inmates waiting in line behind him for the same.

Whats the use of prison? We are already paying for this guy to get laser hair removal, hormone injections, and for him to legally change his name.
