But credit to you for being prepared to tell your pdoc what's going on for you. I can understand how it may be hard for you, but they should be there to help, and remember it's not your fault things are slipping!!!
And maybe there are other options first other than switching to MAOI's??? In relation to the side effects of what you're taking, there may be other medications you could be prescribed specifically to combat those........and maybe they could change doses a little or prescribe another medication to top up on what you're taking now to help with how you're feeling???
So, maybe, possibly.........???
And sorry but no personal experience with MAOI's, although yes there can sometimes be more side effects.......and they can be more restrictive e.g. with foods you have to avoid.......but probably a good question to ask in the Psychiatric Medications forum if there's a possibility that you may need them.........which may not be the case????
But although there can certainly be down sides to them........pro's and con's.......if they are actually going to help where other things can't, then maybe worth it regardless (if you need them!!!)???.

Alison

Thanks Alison. My hope is he lets me stay on the meds I am on now but just adjust the Latuda. But it has already been said that the next step is the MAOIs. I have tried so many meds in the last 2 years that I have lost count. I am having an ok day today so part of me doesn't even want to bring it up to him at all.
