every situations is different from the other, you mom does`t know everyhting.

i understand how it may feel when you are i such a sensitive case, but please try to forget what your mom said. it doens`t have much truth in it. there are many people who self injure but do it under control, and there are otheres who are out fo control and do more dangerous things.

your situaitons depends on YOU and only on YOU.
and it`s great you haven`t cut untill now. hold on.
you are doing great. even if you feel ******. keep going and you will feel better and the desire to cut yourself will gradually fade away, with God`s help.
