Here ya go : "How to study" skills

I think the main thing is to realize we all study and learn differently. This will be important as you find professors at college who teach in their own styles--and they may not be conducive to your learning style. You'll need to adapt what they give you into the way you learn.

Think about how you learned in school. Did you take a lot of notes as the teacher talked? Did you take no notes? If you are a "no note-taker" you might see if you can record the classes to listen to again and again later.
Did you find that writing key elements down on "flash" cards help you to review the material? Was there someone in your school who took really good notes, in your opinion, and can you copy that style for yourself now?

Above all, READ THE BOOKs they make you buy. ASK questions if you don't understand something or you will become so far behind you might not be able to catch up.

If you have real problems, then talk to the prof or even the college counselor about accommodations... sometimes just having a note-taker (for instance) so you can listen more intently is all one needs! (Well, and to study those notes )

Remember nearly every other new college student is feeling the same way you are.
