I had a similar thing with my ex, but not to that extent. It was more like a dynamic. He probably didn't think of it like that. It might have just been my perception on account of his being a very even-keeled guy, which I (obviously) couldn't manage to be (even-keeled OR a guy, lol.)

I'm not sure I've ever really been told to "grow up" specifically, but certainly to that I should be able to have better control of myself.
