I think that it depends on what kind of learner you are.

I learned at a young age that I am a VERY visual learner. During story time as a pre-schooler, I would zone out! I learn practically nothing in a lecture that isn't interactive in some way, even if there is a power point.

My study notes are INSANE! I literally have to write out everything. I can guarantee you that my study notes for my last class were above and beyond that of anyone else in the class.

Sometimes flashcards work for me, but for more in depth subjects, I need more space than what fits on a flash card. Hence why I have tons of study notebooks.

I don't learn a lot by simply reading, either. Its something in the writing process (with many different colored pens) that makes the information sink into my brain.

I think it may take some time to find your study style, but once you do, studying will be a lot easier for you. Good luck!
