Hi all, new to this sub forum.
I have a 7 year old who has been diagnosed with ADHD a year ago, plus SPD (sensory processing disorder), and according to his school odd (though hasn't had a diagnosis). His behaviors in the last year have becoming more severe by the day.

Some of the things he does; choke himself with hands or a cord once at school, threatened to throw a brick through the window, broken toys, scratches himself, bangs his head, punches me or teachers, screams.

Most of these problems only have occurred at school, but have started at home as well. He was in a program at school to help kids with behavior issues. I have 2 other kids, a 6 year old and 4 month old. I have had to go in another room with the kids to keep them safe, which is cwey troubling as a parent. Perhaps he's feeling neglected but I try to spend as much time as possible with him and all that. We have a schedule at home, so the only thing that has changed is the new baby. He isn't aggressive with her at all though.

He does see a therapist, plus we have a behavior coach that comes in twice theeek to our house and he has an occupational therapist. I think maybe that's too much for him, but then I think it's not because his behaviors are getting worse. I just got a prescription for meds for him that I'm going to try to see if that helps some.

However in the past month, I've called his therapist crisis number because he's gotten so out of control. It's been recommended twice now that I take him to be evaluated at the children's hospital. This is extremely scary for me to think about and I only know what it's like as an adult at a psych hospital. I have been against this and am fighting it, but I know they could involuntarily commit him if they feel he's a harm to himself or others. Please I need some advice.
