Wow . . . I'm also in the market to loose a lot of weight and I quit exercising because I'm surrounded by religious zealots, so I end up spending a lot of time inside on the couch after work.
I'm working on using a food journal now. Have you considered that?
I weigh myself every morning and write the weight in my journal, then write down everything I eat all day so that I'll know which foods affect me most.
My library has a video called Element AM/PM Yoga. I check that out frequently because it's gentle exercise and stretching that I can do at home. Maybe something like that will work for you as well.
