sundance - A funny thing with Remeron™ (mirtazapine) is that the higher the dose the less the drowsiness, as the anticholinergic effects of the drug (causing the drowsiness) are overwhelmed by nervous system activation in another part of the brain.
It does take two to three months, but the body does (more or less) adjust to the drowsiness over time. Hang in there, daily doses usually run from 30mg to 60mg daily, depending on response. Perhaps ask your doc if you might benefit from another 15mg increase in dose. - Cam
