My back up plans were/are more so I am not trapped or going to be stuck - not so much because I did not think I could do something.
I did change my mind a few times - usually after finding out more about something or trying it in some way etc. Sometimes my idea about what a something did and what it really did - failed to match up in a way that was not conducive to my idea of how I wanted to live.
