Here is a list of symptoms that I have since childhood:
1) Cannot Initiate tasks. I think about initiating a task I have to do all the time but just can't get started
2) Fidgeting in the classroom
3) I can focus under fear of failure or unless I am very passionate about something
4) This focus--always-- is a very strong focus. I go in a zone and become oblivious to my surroundings. Is this ADD Hyperfocus or otherwise what is it?
It is so strong that I cannot converse with others or multi-task.
5) I don't notice things-- right before me-- such as the color of shirt someone is wearing
6) When someone speaks for a long period I switch off and cannot follow long conversations
7) Daydream in the classroom
8) Cannot sustain focus unless I consume a lot of caffeine. Need breaks all the time
9) I am distracted by Auditory stimuli. When someone is lecturing in a classroom, and others are talking, it is hard for me to follow the lecture while others can. I am distracted by what others are saying
10) I interrupt others when they are speaking
11) Drink a lot of coffee to remain switched on
12) When I took Ritalin once, I was able to focus 8 hours straight, whereas Straterra didn't enable me to focus
13) I wake up groggy and need coffee and ciggerates immediately
14) In noisy places I go quiet and when I speak my voice goes low. When many people are talking, I cannot make out who is saying what
15) I have learning problems and find difficulty forming habits. I cannot learn to pronounce letters, hold the squash Raquet the right way, or sign my name the same way. Some of these learning problems are attributed by my doctor to Schizoaffective disorder
16) I have comprehension problems. When I read, some information is absorbed while other is not. I cannot read at a fast pace.
Does this all sound like a separate ADD or part of the Schizoaffective package?

Hey Deezina, i am no expert nor do i have ADD/HD but everything you describe is exactly like my friend who has ADD, i think it would be best to get a second opinion just to be sure but that definately sounds like ADD. My friend has ADD, anxiety and dyslexia which could explain some of your learning troubles.
Best of luck though i hope you find a solution to this
