I think you did absolutely the right thing. The other day here, there was a shooting at a convenient store. The guy ran into the apartment complex next door, and one of the guys that lived there went after him. The news interviewed this guy (a very hippy lookin dude lol) and he said he was an ex-marine and couldn't let the guy run away. The police said he shouldn't have done that, they said we should never run after someone with a gun. But then they said a few weeks ago there was a hit and run and someone in a car followed the guy and called the police, tailing the hit and run guy until the cops could get him. They said that kind of thing is safe, and then they said that communities do a lot better when we all work with each other and help the police when we see something go down. So I'd say you fall into the second category....safely helping a fellow member of the community. If everyone alerted people or called the cops when we saw something suspicious, I bet we'd be a much safer country.....I think you did great!
