I hate the personality disorder too... But it is actually a personality disorder.... Hmm. I think ego disorder would maybe be more accurate and kind.

I think its possible to have our personalities and still be OK, but our ego is a mess. This presents as a border because of our personality type... In another person it might present as something else depending their personality genes.

Think of a teenager and all the different types and you have the basis for many personality disorders. It is a disorder because there was a failure cognitively, perhaps, to develop an adult ego.

Anyway... I really hope they don't change the name. I fully own neurotic actually and I'm just fine with that. An underdeveloped adult aspect has advantages! Art, poetry, theater, stories.... The love of a child for the fantastical with the organisation and skill of an adult.
