I see a P.A. (physician's assistant) for my psych meds. He is well-trained and also super smart, and I am delighted to be able to see him.
The psychotherapist that I see has a master's degree in social work plus some additional training in the specific therapy type that she mostly uses. She is under 30 but also very smart as well as having a natural gift for doing therapy.
So I'm a happy camper as far as my psych providers go right now. That has not always been the case.
P.S. Nosy question - does your psychiatrist's first name start with "S", by any chance? Wondering if I might know her.
