Lamictal is a fantastic med for me. I've experienced no weight gain or rash (Stevens-Johnson Syndrome). Only 2-6 people out of a million get this syndrome, so don't let this drive you batty...and if it did show up, you'll just have to come off it and try something else. At 25mg you are at a very low dose.

I've also taken Lithium for 3+yrs with no issues. There are a lot of horror stories out there about it, but if you stay hydrated, take it easy on those silly 'energy' drinks and other diuretics and avoid ibuprofen it will be fine.

After I got to my therapeutic dose of this combo my reaction to alcohol changed greatly. After 1 beer I kind of start stuttering and feeling anxious, and if I have two I might as well just go home because I don't feel right. And this is a good thing. Alcohol is no longer my friend.

Please try to relax...its gonna be ok. None of these meds are going to cause an immediately serious condition if you come up on them slowly like you are. They will give you plenty of warning if they are toxic to you, and you simply can reduce your dosage until you're off them.
