Yeah alprazolam would have been no fun to withdraw from, and is why I want off the daily benzo before it becomes an issue for me.

I used to have really bad anxiety a few years ago but have learnt to work through it with various techniques.

If they do an easy taper you might have very few side effects and be able to work through them with t support.
