I have been on & off of seroquel with a higher & lower doses for the past 5 years. I took the benzos for the anxiety with absolutely no effect. The seroquel is the only thing that helped me with the PTSD symptoms I was having...to keep the nightmares away. It would completely knock me out, so I wouldn't know what hit me. I would sometimes be out for over 24 hours on my higest doses. When I started dropping back, & would take a larger dose once in a while, I would feel like I overdosed. I would lay there & couldn't move, but was aware that I was laying there. That was a scarry feeling, but when I was feeling that bad anyway that I needed a higher dose, I really didn't want to function anyway.

I wasn't on the seroquel while I was having my anorexia problems with not being able to eat, but started taking it after we realized it was PTSD that was causing the problems.

Now when I start to have an anxiety attack I feel would be debilitating, I just take 25mg & it gets me over those feelings & on with my life. It was the other anti-depressants that were causing migraines & those wouldn't go away with time or getting used to the drugs......there are many don't takes on my list because of the migraine side effects besides all the other horrible side effects I have had....much worse than migraines.
