And not working with your former T to get records? Sounds like she doesn't even want to be bothered. I'm with Hankster - she sounds like a douche.

Thanks, JS. Yes, before I started therapy how ever many years ago, I was a wreck. I still was able to hold a job, but I did the bare minimum for it just to get by and was never recognized for anything. I was still afraid to get a pdoc closer to home and was still driving 95 miles (one way) each month to see the one I was seeing before I moved back to my hometown. I was very illogical with my thinking and disorganized. I was a wreck. Old T helped me over many hurdles.

As for getting the records, she's the one who asked me to sign a release because she wanted them (even though I told her I had already signed a release with old T). Since she is the one who wants them, you'd think she'd be more open to getting them by a method other than fax.

She has a busy schedule too. Her schedule is usually booked and you have to schedule 4 weeks in advance. Very strange.

I'll give it some thought. I really don't like the idea of a shared chart between pdoc and t, which would happen if I saw his T. But, it may be the best option at this point.
