I taught myself how to crochet about 8 months ago and love doing it. My friend taught me granny squares, but I didn't really do too much with them. I'm now making a granny square blanket for a friend who's pregnant, different pastel colors that I'll join. Anyway, starting them was always such a pain in the butt and they were coming out all lopsided.

Today I found this awesome website that shows you how to start a granny square and there's video.....its amazing how easy it is. (As long as you can chain and do double crochet stitches, you'll be able to do it).

I'm sure there are others here who like to crochet, so I wanted to share the site.
