I give my dog tramadol and have taken ultram myself (after motorcycle crash)- it just recently became this insanely controlled. It does not feel like taking oxycodone (which both dog and I have also had) - the great thing about tramadol is that it does not interact badly with other meds the dog takes like a lot of stuff can. It also does not work as well as oxycodone for the pain.
I really wish we would quit being so puritanical about pain meds in this country.
