First, she comes out to greet me and she has purple hair! I love it! It says so much about her personality.

We talked about my email I sent to her. My issue with her being physically far away was resolved. She sat in the chair closer to me. The issue with tissues was resolved too. She apologized for not offering any when I cried previously, and would make sure she does in the future. As far as her expressions (facial, tone, volume, posture), she's not going to change any of that. She said she wants me to trust that she's there with me and feeling for me. She doesn't want to worry about her expressions and become distracted from what I'm saying. That's fair. She said she will not comfort me physically when I'm upset because it's a boundary of her. Okay.

We finally talked about hugs! She said she's more than okay with giving me hugs after each session as soon as I'm ready for it.

She was really sweet. We were talking about me projecting my fears of abandonment from ex-T onto her. She said she doesn't think that will happen to me again. She explained that extremely bad things rarely happen twice to one person. She used examples like lightning strikes, or shark attacks, or falling off a building (). I said according to her I won't be abandoned again. She responded that she's a pretty good judge of that. She told me I don't need to have so much anxiety about it and that she is not my ex-T.

And finally...the package. It's agreed upon: I'm opening it Wednesday morning at home with my fiance!!! And then I'll process it later with her. I'm so freaking excited!!! Everyone is happy, especially me. And I still am hoping that it's the book. You know I'm so updating you all come Wednesday.

But I really do think I'm starting to connect with my new T. Today was a really good day with her.
