For the past two weeks, my gut had been telling me that something was up because he started making excuses why he couldn't meet up and was very aloof. Finally we decided we would meet for coffee on Sunday. On Saturday I confirmed our meeting and he agreed. However that same night, he sent me this drunk text with words misspelled. My gut instinct said something bad was going to happen on Sunday and I was right.
I showed up for coffee in the morning and waited for about 15 minutes, then another 5. I texted him that I was already there but never heard anything back about any reason why he couldn't come. I was livid when I realized that it was a total joke and I left, deleted his number and went home to enjoy the rest of the day.
Needless to say I knew it was too good to be true that someone who barely texts or communicates makes plans but doesn't follow through. That was two weeks short-lived and something I never thought would happen to me.
Did I do the right thing by not saying anything? That was such a mean thing to do, but I know it happens all the time. I guess now I have a story to tell, but I'm over it. He's not worth my time.

Same thing happened to me except I had already met her in person and developed a connection. But she was very shady over text and never followed through with calling. She said she wanted to meet up one weekend. So I drove 12 HOURS to see her (I live far away from her), spent about 500 bucks, and was so excited to finally be close to her again.
That morning, when I showed up at the hotel, I text her and gave the address. She never text me back and never showed up. I was completely devastated and disappointed. It really screwed me up.
I only said something to her once and that was a few months later. All I said was that she really hurt me by standing me up. She never even apologized. Oh well. Happens to everyone but it's good to vent.
